What do I do first?

April 27, 2012 - Budget, Design - Post by: Mary - 6 Comments

Checklist of how to begin a landscaping project:

1. Where am I landscaping? The backyard, the front yard or both?

2. What are the outdoor activities that I would enjoy most in my new landscape?

3. What is my budget? Based on question #2, what gets top priority?

4.¬†Will this be completed in phases? *Remember that the hardscape is typically the most expensive and is done first in the project, so consider the phased approach for items like outdoor lighting, or things that aren’t high on the priority list.

5. Do I want my project installed within the next 3-6 months? The next 6-12 months? Or can I wait and do a multi-phased approach over time?

Got all of your checklist completed? Now it’s time to hire a designer. Please fill out this short form on our contact page and you will be on your way!

We are looking to do the front and backyard in the next 6-12 months. We just moved into our home in January with a no-maintence front/backyards and we need a complete design. Thank you.

My home is my sanctuary and I want my back yard to be as oasis for contemplation and entertaining.
i need removal of old damaged irrigation and a new automated system installed. I want a combination of patio, fire pit, garden ‘island’, and a water feature. I want the greenscaping to be tropical/subtropical with a grass ‘raceway’ around a garden island.
I may only need design services but am very open to having SBD&L do the work based on estimate/quote.

I need a quote to exam my side yard and front yard at my mobile home to make it more user-friendly so I don’t have to spend my entire weekends doing yard work
